So I received a number of emails asking me to hold off this weeks (parenting) Sketch Group off another week. I will be holding off till next monday to post the Parent sketches and I am also introducing another topic

Sorry for the delay everyone, I wanted to make the first “Sketch Group” theme a good one. Last week after class a few classmates and I were discussing parents now and how they deal with their kids. This sparked a fun idea… 

The topic for this weeks sketch group is Parenting. I want to see everyones take on parenting. Good parents, bad parents, parents in the future, the past…your parents! 

So get those sketch books, pencils, paint, photoshop ready and send in your artwork to Sean@MegatonApps.com by sunday to be included on the posting. Feedback will be provided by everyone and I will be happy to link to your personal website or blog as well. Those of you worries about showing your art, DON’T! We take all levels of artists and often the idea is the most important element. I hope we can make this a great weekly feature, sharing feedback and great ideas with one another.

Starting Monday I will be starting a “sketch group”. Every Monday I will be posting a theme that the group will be using in their illustration. The basic idea for the group is it will be a place where people can come together and using a single subject matter, yet present a number of takes on it. Every Sunday night I will be posting the groups art. This will allow you to inspire others while getting feedback on your stuff. I hope we can build up a close collaborative group where we can improve our art and most of all HAVE FUN! So tube in Monday for our very first subject. Any medium, any level of art is welcomed.
