2012 Resolutions- It's that time of the year..
2011 was an interesting year for me. If I had to pick a word to describe it, it would be transitional. I have moved on from the “website business” our app company has been moving slowly. I was knee deep in school work and grabbed a 9-5 job… something I have avoided my whole life. I was humbled a lot this year, frustrated and in the end I am leaving the year feeling the happiest I have in a...

PITAS = compliment
Today I figure I should provide you all with an update to my previous blog post about the harsh learning process of storyboarding. To fully understand the story you may need to have had Robert Steal as a teacher… http://seanoneill.tumblr.com/post/4462397064/story-a-lesson-learned-the-only-way-the-hard-way I just finished another day of said storyboarding class and like other days, my...

When I was young aside from movies, animation, sports and trains my other nerdy obsession was magic. I use to spend hours with my buddy Tony at the magic store learning new tricks that I saved all my money to buy. I loved the idea of making the impossible possible and the reaction I could get. I think it relates a lot to my love of animation. You can do anything and amaze people. Today, the makers...

Lots of updates!
Been MIA for a bit due to a huge amount of work but I will be updating a LOT more on this little site of mine. Along with my own work, I will be continuing to update with clips, links and images from a number of artists, animators and those who inspire me. -Sean

Story: A lesson learned the only way… the hard...
About a week ago I dug up an old story idea I had from years back that I wanted to try and flesh out. The pitch was that it would be a James Bond style intro to a western film that would be two parts Sergio Leone one part Quentin Tarantino. Our “hero” Duke is a gunslinger who finds his way into a dusty western town. When he arrives, he’s met with a young bratty boy named Max who is chasing a group...

Artist Spotlight: Marc Davis
The first artist I wanted to highlight was the first Disney artist I was lucky enough to meet, Marc Fraser Davis (March 30,1913- January 12, 2000). Marc Davis was studying to be the next great fine artist. Sadly that style of artwork was not selling at the time. Marc needed a job and after being encouraged by friends to apply at Disney, he was hired, quickly becoming known as the “animal guy”....

Artist Spotlight
I’m starting a new section on PlausibleImpossible.com that I hope to update weekly. It will be called Artist Spotlight and will talk about illustrators who have influenced me and my art. I will be including artwork, videos and text about each artist with the hope that I can share with each of you the magic and amazing talent these masters of the pencil have shared with the world.. The first...

IMDB'ed at last →
I recall thinking how cool it will be to one day jump onto IMDB and see my name attached to a film. The art department has always been the desired spot. While my role of story board artist was a small one, I can’t help but feel proud to see my name listed among some incredibly talented people. Let’s hope this is the start to a long line of credits! Big thanks to Ryan and Sin for...

2011 Resolution
2010 knocked a number of items off my bucketlist. Back to school for my masters. So far it’s been incredible. On top of that I got to work on my first feature film storyboarding. It was a fantastic experience and one I’ll always cherish. I hope it is the start to a career I’ll love and be apart of for years to come. So what does 2011 hold? Well my word of the year is HUSTLE.. My resolutions...

WatchWatch
I have been working on fine tuning the writing side of storyboarding. Working on improving my concepts and really squeezing the most out of a gag, or sad moment. I recently watched I Am Comic, a doc about comics and how they thing, the business of stand up. I really learned a lot about the process of comedy and perfecting a “bit”. If you have Netflix Instant it is on there and worth a...

Yogi Bear Movie Alternative Ending
nodanaonlyzuul: Watch this now! It’s an alternative ending inspired by the Assassination of Jesse James created by the animators. I’d much rather watch this version of Yogi Bear. ;)

Sorry for the lack of updates.. between school kicking my butt and prepping for work on my short life has been a little insane. Worry not, the updates are starting to flow once again. I had to put the sketch group on hold and I am very sorry about that. I received a number of messages from people who have found my updates via google and twitter and thats been really incredible.
